Prof. Dr Girish Rao....
Dr. Girish Rao is a Faciomaxillary Surgeon — a specialist in aesthetic, trauma and reconstructive facial surgery. Having completed his Masters program in India, he obtained two fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland.
He underwent intensive training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery across various hospitals in England, working as a Senior Specialist Registrar at the prestigious St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, London, UK.
In 1999, Dr. Girish moved to Bangalore and established Mukha — a dedicated center of excellence for all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implants. He currently heads the Department at R.V. Dental College & Hospital and operates at Sagar Apollo, NIMHANS, and Bangalore Institute of Oncology.

The Royal College of Edinburgh honoring Dr Girish with an Honorary Fellowship From The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for his excellent Oral & Maxillofacial care towards patients in India and also for his contribution towards the growth of the Oral & Maxillofacial Speciality.
Dr Girish Rao has been awarded Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for the commendable work he has been doing in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the last 30 years.
Previously he had received The Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and also from The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland about 25 years ago by passing the examinations conducted by the Royal Colleges.
Now after 25 years the Royal College has recognised his excellent work for the betterment of the society that he has been carrying out in India and also to his profession and have honoured him with an Honorary Fellowship. They have also appointed him as an examiner for the Membership in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Examinations which is held at Edinburgh, Dubai, Hong Kong, Cairo & Bangalore, India
